Who's this course for?

Our programme is an excellent option for photographers keen to learn how to analyse and enhance their practice. 

  • Study key themes and concepts in contemporary photography 
  • Experiment with different practical and creative approaches 
  • Learn about the many professional contexts for contemporary photography 
  • Create projects that are critically informed and aligned with your professional context(s) 
  • Produce an extensive photographic project of a publishable standard before graduation

Our course advisors will guide you through the entire application process, including answering any questions you have about the course. Upon starting, you can connect with your tutors via weekly webinars and through email, and turn to our student advisors for all non-academic questions. 

Up to twice a year, you can choose to attend various photography-related events, which may be held digitally or physicallyThe cost of all tickets will be entirely paid for by Falmouth University, but please note that you’ll need to cover your own travel and accommodation for physical events. 

As one of our students, you’ll have 24/7 access to our online library and the wide range of academic resources it provides. You can also make use of our expert Careers team for up to five years after graduation to help you identify or prepare for job opportunities and plan out your future.
